Cambodia's first road Highway

Visitors will use just 1 hour or 2 hours from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City by the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of Japan has agreed to sign a project to build a highway at speeds between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City, which will begin in February 2015.

Project to build a highway from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City was signed between HE Tram Iv Tek, Minister of Works and Transport, and HE Hiroshi Izaki chief representative Cooperation Agency International of Japan (JICA) in Cambodia in Phnom Penh at the end of last week.

In his speech, HE Tram Iv Tek, during the signing ceremony, he thanked the Government of Japan and JICA for providing financial, technical and material assistance to the government, especially the Ministry of infrastructure to support the construction of expensive roads and bridges.

Highway from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City will be level 80 to 120 kilometers per hour, and the current travel time from 6 hours to 7 hours from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City.
